Where It All Begins
A Mother's Day gathering built around origin, not occasion.
At Koru, we believe in the cycle of life — in the new beginnings that are always born from an origin. This Mother's Day, we wanted to celebrate exactly that: the origin. The roots. The women who gave us our first foundation.
The gathering brought together a group of mothers out in nature, in a setting built for pause and recognition. It was a return to the essential — a tribute to the legacy mothers carry, and to the quiet strength that lives in every story, in every piece worn close.
Chef Melissa Montañez joined us from the very start, bringing a sensibility that speaks the same language as Koru: meaningful, handmade, done with intention. The Botanist carried that language into the glass — cocktails built from botanicals and spices that told a story in every sip. And Finca La Zafra gave us the setting the moment deserved: an open, living space that breathes history and belonging.
To the mothers who joined us that day: thank you for being the origin of everything.
