The language of symbols
The eye, the moon, the star — why protective motifs keep returning to fine jewelry, and how we draw them.
Protective symbols are among the oldest things humans have made in gold. The eye appears across the Mediterranean, the Levant and North Africa, always with the same job: to watch back.
When we draw them, we resist the temptation to modernise too far. A symbol that has survived three thousand years does not need reinvention — it needs proportion, good metal and a setting that lets the stone do the talking.
