Koru exists between two cities that don't get grouped together often enough: Miami and San Juan. Both are coastal, both bilingual, both used to being treated as somewhere people pass through rather than somewhere people build something lasting. We built the brand across both on purpose, not as a Miami label with a Puerto Rico outpost, but as one point of view that happens to live in two places.

In Miami, our presence is appointment-based rather than a walk-in storefront — a deliberate choice that lets us spend real time with each client rather than treating a visit like a transaction. That means bringing pieces to you, one at a time, in a setting where you can actually try things on without a queue behind you. It's slower than retail. It's also the only way we've found to sell jewelry the way we'd want to buy it.

San Juan works the same way. Elda splits her time between both cities, and appointments in Puerto Rico happen when she's there in person — which means booking ahead matters more than it would with a fixed storefront, but it also means every San Juan appointment is with the person who actually designs the collection, not a sales associate reciting specs from a card.

The Koru Circle — our private client group — gets first access to appointment windows in both cities, along with sneak peeks at new pieces before they're released publicly. It's a small group, deliberately, because the value of an appointment-based model disappears the moment it stops being personal.
