Caring for solid gold
What to do — and what to never do — to keep 14k and 18k gold looking the way it did on day one.
Solid gold is forgiving, which is exactly why people neglect it. Warm water, mild soap and a soft brush once a month will do more than any commercial dip.
Avoid ultrasonic cleaners on opals, emeralds and any stone with visible inclusions. The vibration finds the fractures you cannot see.
Bring your pieces in once a year. We check the prongs, tighten what has moved and repolish at no cost — for life.
